St Mary's Church in Whitby, North Yorkshire. A mixture of Medieval to Georgian and much inbetween. The interior is a jumble of architectural styles and influences. Situated on the east coast at the mouth of the River Esk. Tourism started in Whitby during the Georgian period and developed. Its attraction as a tourist destination is enhanced by its proximity to the high ground of the North York Moors, its famous abbey, and by its association with the horror novel Dracula.
