The Philippines - Mindanao - Growing strawberries on communal land

Growing strawberry plants on communal land in Sitio Matinao, Alamada, Cotabato province, Mindanao Island, The Philippines. Women in the Rural Women's Improvement group make use of a small piece of land which they use to grow new vegetables and crops before trying them at home in their own gardens.  The women are currently growing their first strawberry crop which so far has been a success.  All profits from the sale of the vegetables and fruits grown on the land goes back into a communal pot and is used to initiate the next crop.
