Fly Agaric Mushrooms

Autumn Fly Agaric mushrooms at Bodenham Arboretum on 11th October 2020 near Kidderminster, United Kingdom. Amanita muscaria, commonly known as the fly agaric or fly amanita, is native throughout the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. It associates with various deciduous and coniferous trees. Arguably the most iconic toadstool species, the fly agaric is a large white-gilled, white-spotted, usually red mushroom, and is one of the most recognisable mushrooms and renowned to be poisonous.
