Accumulator Tower at Churchill Gardens on 11th February 2016 in London, United Kingdom. The 136 feet high glass accumulator tower at Churchill Gardens formed part of the UKs first district heating system built in 1947-50. Churchill Gardens is a large housing estate in the Pimlico area of Westminster, London. The estate was developed between 1946 and 1962. Designed by the architects Powell and Moya, it replaced Victorian terraced houses extensively damaged during the Blitz.
