Brazil - World Cup 2014 - Protest before the opening game

Members of the public were affected by the protests, when protesters tried to block the main highway going to Itauquera stadium, Police kept the traffic moving but fired tear gas, this endangered motorists, inlcuding a female scooter rider having btreathing problems due to the gas. Police clash with several hundred protesters in Sao Paulo, Brazil, using tear gas and stun grenades on the opening day of the FIFA World Cup 2014. There were some arrests and injuries inlcuding a CNN producer. The protesters were dispearsed relatively quickly due to the Brazilian Police's early show of force.
