Chinese NBA basketball player Yao Ming uses his image to endorse Tag Heuer watches in this advertisement in a designer shop window on Nanjing Road, one of Shanghai's most fashionable and expensive shopping districts. High end fashion has joined the many high street stores as Shanghai becomes wealthier. This road with its expensive hotels and consulates is one area where these shops are common. As in Hong Kong where designer fashion outlets fill some shopping malls, Shanghai is heading the same direction.
