  • Queens Road Peckham Train Station in South East London. Part of Transport for London's overland rail network. Over recent years many of the stations in and around London have fallen into disrepair, with stations seemingly falling apart, graffiti covered and generally overused, and dirty. Not the ideal environment for the paying public to travel around the capital upon. Many commuters complain about the high prices that they pay on a monthly basis for services which are in no fit state.

  • Queen Victoria & Victorian gentleman lookalikes attending the Pearly Kings and Queens Harvest Festival celebrations at Guildhall Yard. The annual event features early English entertainment including maypole dancing, Morris dancers and a marching band. The Chelsea pensioners & all the mayors of London take part in this traditional London event.<br />
The London tradition of the Pearly Kings and Queens began in 1875, by Henry Croft. Inspired by the local Costermongers, a close-knit group of market traders who looked after one another and were recognisable by buttons sewed onto their garments, Henry went out on the streets to collect money for charity, wearing a suit covered in pearl buttons to attract attention. When demand for his help became too much, Henry asked the Costermongers for assistance, many of whom became the first Pearly Families. Today, around 30 Pearly Families continue the tradition to raise money for various charities.

  • From a high viewpoint on Snow Hill, we see the green 'Long Walk' in the Royal Estate's Windsor Great Park. We look down the 3-mile straight road into the distance towards Windsor Castle in the summer shinshine during the equestrian 3-Day Event held annually on Her Majesty the Queens's property. Half-way down the lush avenue of Elm trees there are some horses and their riders either warming up before competition, or galloping across the landscape on a round against the clock. A few spectators have stopped to watch this part of the course but others are elsewhere at the dramatic water jumps. The Long Walk was commenced by Charles II from 1680-1685 by planting a double avenue of elm trees. The central carriage road was added by Queen Anne in 1710. Windsor Castle was begun in the 11th century by William the Conqueror as it afforded a good defensive point over the River Thames. A vast area of Windsor Forest to the south of the castle became reserved by the King for personal hunting and also to supply the castle with wood, deer, boar and fish. Windsor Great Park (locally referred to simply as the Great Park) is a large deer park and Crown Estate of 5,000 acres, to the south of the town of Windsor on the border of Berkshire and Surrey in England. The park was, for many centuries, the private hunting ground of Windsor Castle and dates primarily from the mid-13th century. Now largely open to the public, the parkland is a popular recreation area for residents of the western London suburbs.

Britains Department of Transport has awarded to an unproven shipping company, Seaborne Freight, to provide run roll-on roll-off ferry services to the road haulage industry between Ostend and the Kent port - in the event of more likely No Deal Brexit. In the EU referendum of 2016, people in Kent voted strongly in favour of leaving the European Union with 59% voting to leave and 41% to remain.
