  • Extinction Rebellion activists put up posters at the office of Environment Secretary and the Member of Parliament for Camborne in Cornwall, George Eustice MP, to protest against his environmental record on 25th June 2020 in St Ives, United Kingdom. On the same day the Climate Change Committee will deliver it’s progress report to the Government, XR believe that the government is failing in its commitments to reach net zero emissions by 2050, a target they see as already woefully inadequate. They also believe that it will say they are failing in their responsibilities to keep people safe. They are demanding our MPs force the government to take immediate preventative action to avoid climate collapse by implementing a covid recovery plan that achieves net zero carbon emissions by 2025.

  • Lingams at Phra Nang Cave in Railay, Thailand. It is believed among the local people that Phra Nang, Princess Goddess, resides in this cave on the beach at Phra Nang Bay. Fishermen, before going out would pledge the Princess Goddess for good luck. Their wishes fulfilled they would return to offer gifts. This could take the form of incense or flowers, but spirits of goddesses require special gifts. This has nothing to do with Thai religions of Buddhism or Islam, but it is believed that the lingams and the holy womb would create fertility and prosperity for the whole world and mankind.

  • Entrance of the re-opened Carnegie Library on Herne Hill in south London which has opened its doors for the first time in almost 2 years, on 15th February 2018, in London, England. Closed by Lambeth council and occupied by protesters for 10 days in 2016, the library bequeathed by US philanthropist Andrew Carnegie has been locked ever since because, say Lambeth austerity cuts are necessary. A gym that locals say they dont want or need has been installed in the listed basement and actual library space a fraction as before and its believed no qualified librarians will be present to administer it. Protesters also believe this community building will ultimately sold off by Lambeth council for luxury homes.
