  • Tunisia , Medenine transit centre for refugees from Libya. 4 year old Noor, niece of fighter killed in Nalut. She was born prematurely, at 8 months. Her disabilities are believed to be due to the power failing in Nalut hospital and her incubator was off for 20 minutes. Since she has been in Tunisia has  been having physiotherapy every day and is starting to walk with a frame the Red Crescent has given her.

Happy Valley Beijing is an amusement park in Beijing, China built and operated by Beijing OTC, which is part of the Shenzhen OCT Holding Group. The park, which is located in the east of Beijing, opened in July, 2006. It is one of four theme parks in the brand chain. Similar in style with the Disney land park, Happy Valley Beijing also featured distinctive landscapes and themes throughout the resort along with featured rides within the different themes. In total there are more than 40 rides.

  • Dhaka, Bangladesh. The three girls, Rabia,18, Munni,15 and Sabia,13, work at home making saris. A factory out-let has commissioned the work. It  take s2 weeks to make a sari and they get £3 /sari each. Rabia and Munni are sister and both suffer from Rheumatic Arthritis and sitting down working 9 hours/ day seven days a week only makes their condition worse. Sabia wants to go to school but both Rabia and Muni prefer not to go out. Their disability has made them very shy, they cant walk properly and standing up Rabia is now only the size of a 10 year old. Her father says that if they were to go to school, who would then pay for their medication, not to mention the loss of income they generate...best to stay at home he says. The Stars Foundation visiting CSID.<br />

Disabled and able bodied demonstrators chain themselves together and block Oxford Circus in central London. Protesting at the Tory parties Welfare Reform Bill (WRB) which the government plans to make law by May 2012 could leave thousands destitute.   • Dhaka, Bangladesh. Sumi, 12 years old. Sumi lives in the slums by the railway tracks in Tejgaon. When she was 18 months old a train hit her and cut off both her legs. She lives in a tiny shack with her brothers and sisters and grand mother. Her mother left shortly after the accident and her father has since married twice. CSID has provided her with a wheel chair and financial help for her to go to main stream school near by. She goes as often as she can, if there are no one to help her across the tracks in her wheel chair she cant go. At home and around the slum she moves by jumping along on her bum.   • Dhaka, Bangladesh. Mahmuda with her mother. They live in a shack next to the rail tracks in Tejgaon. Mahmuda is 9 years old and lost a leg i 2008 in a train accident. She had a train accident previously which damaged her hearing and when she did not hear the train coming when she was playing on the tracks. The mother called Zoynal, a counsellor from DSID for help and he took the severely injured Mahmuda to the hospital. Without this Mahmuda would have been dead since the ambulance service in Dhaka is over stretched and would never have made it to the slum in time. CSID now provide her with a wheel chair, counselling and she is attending pre-school.The Stars Foundation visiting CSID.<br />

  • Dhaka, Bangladesh. Arman, 19, disabled in the legs working in the garment industry. he works 12 hours / day 7 days/week and makes T1000.00 ( £8.50) per week. He gives his family 800 and keeps the rest. CSID put him trough the 1 year training which is now enabling him to be independent. She had a train accident previously which damaged her hearing and when she did not hear the train coming when she was playing on the tracks. The mother called Zoynal, a counsellor from DSID for help and he took the severely injured Mahmuda to the hospital. Without this Mahmuda would have been dead since the ambulance service in Dhaka is over stretched and would never have made it to the slum in time.
