The women of Ban Na Mor sell seasonal local products in their roadside market which they have gathered from the fields and forests or grown in their own gardens – anything from cucumbers to bamboo rats, pineapples to barbequed frogs. Ban Na Mor market is ideally situated on route 13 which goes to the border with China allowing them to take advantage of the many Chinese tour buses and businessmen passing through.

  • In fine, late-summer weather, an eleven year-old girl gingerly steps over a stile on the coastal path at Carregwastad Point, near Strumble Head, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Steadying herself with a walking pole, she climbs over wearing trainers rather than stout walking boots as this path is gentle for younger outdoor enthusiasts. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is the first National Trail in Wales. Opened in 1970, the path is almost entirely contained within the boundaries of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park that takes in 17 Sites of Scientific Interest (SSSI), two nature reserves, and Wales' only marine nature reserve. The cliff tops offer wonderful expanses of wildflowers in Spring (April and May are best). Wide variety of birds nest along the cliffs, and grey seals can often be seen in the water below.

  • A brave taxi cab driver drives gingerly along Denmark Hill in South London, The capital's infrastructure has largely come to a halt due to the large amounts of snowfall that has hit the capital - the most for 18 years. In addition to the lack of buses, trains were severely affected and roads like this have not been gritted by the local borough council, leaving motorists struggling to control their vehicles is the slippery conditions. The taxi's orange light is still illuminated indicating he is free for hire and a foot of snow is piled on his roof as the headlights pick out the driving blizzard conditions. Footprints are already in the drift near the pavement that is now hidden from the road.
