  • Londoners have their umbrellas turned inside out or dash through seasonal rain showers and wind gusts in central London. In the foreground, a businessman runs into a strong wind that has brought a brief spell of bad weather into the capital's streets, catching out those with fragile brolleys or those without all-weather layers. The scene is in Cannon Street in the heart of London's financial centre and oldest historical part of the former Roman walled city dating from the first century.

  • Ducking under the falling spray from a giant wave, a passer-by experience the force of nature from a storm off the coasts of southern England - here at the Port of Dover, Kent. As the water hits the sea defence wall, the seaside town is battered by southerly winds that bring with them huge breakers across the promenade. Adventurous and foolhardy people brave these conditions and stay for as long as possible at the railings then jump out at the last moment before getting doused in salt spray. This man carries on walking and thinks that by bending down, the sea will pass overhead.

  • The John Lennon Memorial Wall in Velkoprevorske namestiGrand Priory Square, Malá Strana, on 18th March, 2018, in Prague, the Czech Republic. The Lennon Wall or John Lennon Wall is a wall in Prague, Czech Republic. Once a normal wall, since the 1980s it has been filled with John Lennon-inspired graffiti and pieces of lyrics from Beatles songs. In 1988, the wall was a source of irritation for the communist regime of Gustáv Husák. Young Czechs would write grievances on the wall and in a report of the time this led to a clash between hundreds of students and security police on the nearby Charles Bridge. The movement these students followed was described ironically as Lennonism and Czech authorities described these people variously as alcoholics, mentally deranged, sociopathic, and agents of Western capitalism.
