• Man wearing his trousers slung low, struggles to keep them up. London, England, UK. Sagging is a manner of wearing trousers or jeans which sag so that the top of the trousers or jeans are significantly below the waist, sometimes revealing much of the underwear. Sagging is predominantly a male fashion. In some countries this practice is known as "low-riding". The style was popularized by hip-hop artists in the 1990s. It later became a symbol of freedom and cultural awareness among some youths or a symbol of their rejection of the values of mainstream society. It is often claimed the style originated from the United States prison system where belts are sometimes prohibited.

 • The Serpentine's 40th Anniversary. The Serpentine Gallery Pavilion is designed by world-renowned French architect Jean Nouvel. This 2010 Pavilion is the 10th commission in the Gallery’s annual series, the world’s first and most ambitious architectural programme of its kind. It will be the architect’s first completed building in the UK. The red structure reflects the sky, has red glass to look through and provides space for people to come and relax. The design for the 2010 Pavilion is a contrast of lightweight materials and dramatic metal cantilevered structures. The entire design is rendered in a vivid red that, in a play of opposites, contrasts with the green of its park setting. In London, the colour reflects the iconic British images of traditional telephone boxes, post boxes and London buses.

 • A lone bather wallows lazily in the calm pool waters at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat (formerly the Bel Air Hotel), Alpes Maritimes, France. Basking on his back, the man lies with arms outstretched, the warm buoyant water making him weightless. he has found inner-peace and there is restful tranquility here, where surface-tension allows the bather to unwind completely in this idyllic place on the French Cote d'Azur riviera. Behind his head unoccupied sun loungers are facing the Mediterranean Sea, its clear horizon empty except for a lone yacht that sails along the ocean coast. The colour of both sea and pool are the same on this overcast day that allows us to experience a more muted tone to the scene, also allowing us to see the contiunation of natural waters, as if they run from one to the other.

 • We are looking down from above to office and business workers who are lying down and relaxing in the grass in their lunch break at Finsbury Circus, a circular green park space in the heart of London's financial district, the City of London. Surrounding them is an art instillation of steel sheep that are incongruously grazing among the assorted people, much like they once did when London was a home to livestock en-route to market and other animals used for transport. It is a warm afternoon and in the foreground, a man wearing a dark suit has taken off his polished shoes and is lying his head on his jacket in the warm afternoon, loosening his tight tie and stretching his neck. Elsewhere, a lady is sitting eating a packed lunch with the Sun newspaper and a man a little further behind is in jeans and plimsoll shoes. The City of London has a resident population of under 10,000 but a daily working population of 311,000. The City of London is a geographically-small City within Greater London, England. The City as it is known, is the historic core of London from which, along with Westminster, the modern conurbation grew. The City's boundaries have remained constant since the Middle Ages but it is now only a tiny part of Greater London. The City of London is a major financial centre, often referred to as just the City or as the Square Mile, as it is approximately one square mile (2.6 km) in area. London Bridge's history stretches back to the first crossing over Roman Londinium, close to this site and subsequent wooden and stone bridges have helped modern London become a financial success.

He also wears a watch with aq green strap matching his working army fatigues uniform. Behind him are two part-time territorial army conscripts who are sitting on their army-issued rucksack Bergens awaiting further orders to serve on active duty from Sandhurst military academy to the Balkans during Operation Resolute, the National Support Element to support NATO action. The dominating figure in the foreground stands upright though we don't see his face. His two conscripts sit on the ground looking dejected or perhaps worried about their forthcoming duties. They are still in civillian clothing, jeans and t-shirts but will soon change into uniform.

 • Helen McKendry, eldest daughter of Jean McConville who was abducted and murdered by the IRA in 1972. For thirty years until 2003 she searched for her mother's body and has cmpaigned to this day for her killers to be brought to justice. Jean McConville's body was finally discovered in 2003 on Shelling Beach.

Jean was a protestant married to a Catholic. The family had been forced to flee Protestant East Belfast by loyalists in 1969 and had moved to the Divis flats on the Falls Road. On December the 6th, Jean McConville was playing bingo, when she was informed her daughter Helen was in hospital. Two men she had never seen before ushered her to a waiting car. At 2am the police came to the house and took Helen Helen to the Albert Street barracks. There she found her mother badly bruised, hair pulled from her head and her coat and shoes missing. She had been abducted, iterrogated, and had managed to escape from her captors. After returning home and sleeping for the afternoon, Helen went out for less than half an hour to buy fish and chips for the evening meal, to discover that while her mother was taking a bath, 12 men wearing masks had burst into the house and taken Jeran McConville.

 • Jean, an orphan of Burundi's ethnic conflict at Shalom House shivers under a blanket with malaria. Shalom House was founded by Marguerite Barankitse (known as the 'Angel of Burundi'). During the 1994 genocide, Barankitse, at great personal risk, managed to save 25 orphans, Hutu, Tutsi and Twa and built a home for them. Currently, she has helped more than 10,000 orphans and separated children who can grow up in an "extended adopted family" in security, education and love.

 • Red-tinted landscape with lady wearing red caused by the Serpentine Gallery's Pavilion. With a stripe of vivid red shining across the pavement of one of London's most eminent of green spaces, a lady pauses to photograph the unseen pavilion in late afternoon light, her coat matching the hues produced by light passing through the building. The Serpentine's 40th Anniversary—the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion is designed by world-renowned French architect Jean Nouvel. The entire design is rendered in a vivid red that, in a play of opposites, contrasts with the green of its park setting. In London, the colour reflects the iconic British images of traditional telephone boxes, post boxes and London buses. The building consists of bold geometric forms, large retractable awnings and a sloped freestanding wall that stands 12m above the lawn.
