The Italian word Fotoressera is written on the top of the kiosk. This is particular form of photography used primarily for institutional purposes, usually for identity documents; licenses; identity cards; railway passes and resumes.

The boy and girl hug in this intimate moment one lunchtime, away from their places of work in this haven of peace amid the bustle of London's Soho in the West End. Unaware of anyone else apart from their own company, we see the voyeur standing in the bushes, apparently watching them as they kiss and cuddle. The gardens are green with plenty of undergrowth and foliage creating a pleasant space. The plants and shrubs make this inner-city oasis a place to enjoy.

  • Two construction workers wash after a long shift constructing Hong Kong's new airport on Chep Lap Kok Island. With their backs turned to the viewer, the workmen attend to their hygiene at a makeshift washhouse attached to a yellow shipping container. One man reaches to wash between his shoulder blades and the other rinses his forearms. The island has been inhabited on and off since the Middle Neolithic period 6,000 years ago and the airport was built on a large artificial island formed by levelling Chek Lap Kok and Lam Chau islands (3.02 km² and 0.08 km² respectively), and reclaiming 9.38 km² of the adjacent seabed. The original farming and fishing villages on the island were relocated to Chek Lap Kok Village on Lantau. The core programme cost more than $20bn and involved four major sponsors, ten separate projects and 225 construction contracts.

Meanwhile, she holds on tight to her eager pet poodle dog who is straining on its leash, wanting to go for a walk along the largely unpopulated promenade in this Devon resort, otherwise known as the English Riviera. It is a witty perspective, leading us to believe that the two men are the same person. • An abandoned coastal fishing boat lies askew in waters of Inverscaddle Bay, Ardgour, Scotland. On a bleak and grey summer evening, with low clouds descending on surrounding hills and mountains, we see the still waters of this Scottish lake lapping against the hull of this vessel that appears to have ended its days washed up on the beach. It is low-tide because this waterway connects to the wider sea of the Western Isles. Fisheries have always been an important sector of Scottish communities' lives so when there is an economic recession for example, the livelihoods of those employed on-board trawlers and boats like these are first hit.
