This building has had many functions since that year from housing a tallow chandler, an ironmonger, a picture framers and finally became a brothel. In 1860, the tavern was established and, for the first 100 years, it only possessed a beer licence which explains perfectly the impressive reputation the Newman Arms has for great beer, still firmly intact to this day.

The Mines Advisory Group (MAG) are a humanitarian organisation clearing the remnants of conflict worldwide and have been working in Lao PDR since 1994. UXO clearance team 6 (UCT6) is an all-female team, one of MAG’s seven UXO clearance teams in Xieng Khouang Province, one of the most heavily bombed provinces in Lao PDR. Kelly Marie Gallagher, MBE is a Northern Irish skier and the first athlete from Northern Ireland to compete in the Winter Paralympics. He lived here until his death in 1519.

Logically, she is allowed to take her boyfriend, since Mo Su family carries on by the mother's name, the son and the daughter stay with mother their whole lifes.<br />
When they are adults, the girl chooses her boyfriend. The boyfriend come to sleep in her room in the evening and leave for his mother's home in the morning. He belongs to his mother's family. She belongs to her mother's family, her children will be taken care of by her family: her mother, uncle, aunts, or sisters and brothers. Her children do not belongs to the boyfriend's family.<br />
Normally, the mother will pass her "power" to her eldest daughter when she is old and thus perpetuate the Mo Suo traditions.

  • The blocking of Westminster Bridge is over but police is only letting people leave south side not to have any spilling into Parliament Sqaure. This protestor is denied leaving North way  and he is trying to get into a converstion with police on Government policies.<br />
The Health and Care Bill has been passed by Parliament and is due to go to the House of Lords. In protest against the bill which aim to deconstruct and privatise large parts of the NHS UK Uncut activists together with health workers and trade unionists blocked the Westminster Bridge from 1pm til 5.30pm.
