  • Baggage belonging to a British Airways Concorde crew is lined up beneath their aircraft after arriving at Oshkosh Air Venture, the world’s largest air show in Wisconsin USA. Twelve cases match 12 of Concorde's tiny windows and some of the crowd either take shelter from the sun or walk around the supersonic jet in awe of this engineering marvel. Their baggage is lined up beneath the aircraft during its visit to this huge show in Wisconsin, USA. Close to a million populate the mass fly-in over the week, a pilgrimage worshipping all aspects of flight. The event annually generates $85 million in revenue over a 25 mile radius from Oshkosh. We see the two sides of the class system but it is a humorous scene. There is good nature between the two groups with smiles exchanged but here the man strides past knowing he is under inspection from the common people.

The famine in Sudan in 1998 was a humanitarian disaster caused mainly by human rights abuses, as well as drought and the failure of the international community to react to the famine risk with adequate speed.   • A happy group of male and female cyclists line up outside the entrance to the Devonshire Tunnel eagerly awaiting the official opening of the Two Tunnel Greenway in Bath, Somerset, England, United Kingdom on 6th April 2013.  The cyclists are going to be some of the first members of the public to enjoy the fantastic 13-mile circular route from the centre of Bath that takes in National Cycle Route 24 and National Route 4 and the spectacular Dundas Aqueduct on the Kennet & Avon Canal.  The opening of this route has been organised by Sustrans in partnership with Bath and North East Somerset Council.  It has been funded by the Lottery. Sustrans is a charity that works with communities, policy-makers and partner organisations so that people can choose healthier, cleaner and cheaper journeys and enjoy better, safer spaces to live in. The event was attended by hundreds of cyclists and pedestrians of all ages and abilities.

Doctors see patients suffering from a wide variety of health problems; malaria and malnutrition are very common.  The young girl sleeping while she waits with her mother has malaria. The Bwindi Community Hospital is in Buhoma village on the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Western Uganda. It serves around 60,000 people from the surrounding area.

  • A week after a Black Lives Matter protest turned to violence when the statue of wartime Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill was daubed in graffiti which called him a racist, and despite warning from police not to attend protests at all today - and to be off the streets by 5.00pm - a large group crowd of right-wing groups and veterans gathered at the boxed-in statue to protect it from further vandalism by Black Lives Matter and anti-racism protesters. Riot police stopped the right-wing groups from proceeding up Whitehall where the Cenotaph was also behind a screen, resulting in scuffles, on 13th June 2020, in London, England.

The skyscraper landmark known as The Shard in the capital was completed in May 2012. It is the tallest building in the European Union. The 46th-tallest building in the world, standing 310 m (1,017 ft) tall, it is also be the second-tallest free-standing structure in the UK. Several Qatari investors funded the construction of the tower via Islamic finance.
