Sarah was lucky enough to find a sponsor to pay her admission fees and cover her uniform and books – barriers that prohibit many of Kenya’s poorest children from attending the country’s free primary schools. Thanks to the charity Marys Meals she also gets school meal, hugely important when Sarah’s mother is so poor they are often made homeless while saving for the rent. When she is not at school she works on the dumps collecting rubbish for the family to survive. <br />

It’s especially hard for the mothers and their children forced through poverty to scrape a living of around $1 dollar a day.

It is situated in the northwestern part of Beijing city. Zhongguancun is very well known in China, and is often referred to as China's Silicon Valley. This is Beijing's computer district with numerous tech companies offices situated here amongst the many malls which sell electronics and electrons equipment of all kinds. The tech park started as a small office where two decades ago some students from a nearby university decided that computer equipment may be a thing of the future so set up a small company. It has expanded in this time to  cover many square kilometres.

Gilbert Bailey, owner of Muncheez, who has been running the soup kitchen since the day after the earthquake was one of the few Haitians not to be directly affected and wants to give back. Mo Suo people belongs to the NaXi minority of LiJiang region. Mo Suo people have their own distinctive culture, religion and customs. Most significantly: Mo Suo people do not have a marriage System. Locally, they call their relationships a "walking marriage". <br />
A girl has her ADULT ceremony when she is 14, then she can start to wear the Mo Su costume and the family will give her a room that is called “Flower room”.<br />
Logically, she is allowed to take her boyfriend, since Mo Su family carries on by the mother's name, the son and the daughter stay with mother their whole lifes.<br />
When they are adults, the girl chooses her boyfriend. The boyfriend come to sleep in her room in the evening and leave for his mother's home in the morning. He belongs to his mother's family. She belongs to her mother's family, her children will be taken care of by her family: her mother, uncle, aunts, or sisters and brothers. Her children do not belongs to the boyfriend's family.<br />
Normally, the mother will pass her "power" to her eldest daughter when she is old and thus perpetuate the Mo Suo traditions.

The Mines Advisory Group (MAG) are a humanitarian organisation clearing the remnants of conflict worldwide and have been working in Lao PDR since 1994. UXO clearance team 4 (UCT4) is one of MAG’s seven UXO clearance teams in Xieng Khouang Province, one of the most heavily bombed provinces in Lao PDR.  Sidavan Sipaseuth (36) is the team leader for UCT4 and is the first woman employed by MAG to complete the training for Explosive Ordnance Disposal Level (EOD 4). During stand down Sidavone is cooking vegetables for dinner for her family at home in Muang Kham.
