  • Topless black man with bulging muscles walks past women shoppers in central London. Posing as he walks, the male walks past the females with biceps and pecs rippling in the sunshine. Such egotism seems everyday as the women hardly seem to notice his athletic presence. Either that or they're ignoring the eccentricity.

  • As the Mr Chelsea Body Beautiful talent competition is held on the Kings Road in London, an appreciative woman interviews a contestant. Entrants are handsome males and girls showing their muscles and well-trimmed bodies. The others have hairy chests, pectorals and biceps on-show by these young exhibitionists who parade themselves in the open-air. But this young man is smooth and sell-muscled and he holds up both arms to show his biceps and abdominals (abs) plus, unintentionally (possibly) his well-endowed private parts that are poking from within his Y-front underwear pants.

  • An athletic man poses against a wall on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, Florida. This fine specimen of a man wears roller-blades and trousers tucked into his skates with a yellow t-shirt with the word Frequency across his pectoral muscles. His shdow appears across the wall and because of the angle, his shape has been greatly exaggerated, his body becoming a much wider, stockier proportion than the reality. He stands with an arm resting high on the wall and the other on his hip, almost in a feminine manner. He is nonetheless the epitome of maleness, of virility with the healthy physique that women adore and other men are jealous of! The sdidewalk pavement arcs around a corner and the wall with its long shadow is a strong diagonal line across the picture, disappearing to the far right.

We see the face of one black man whose white teeth and silver-coloured necklace shine in the sunshine. He looks up to watch the other hands fight for the ball’s possession as the teams battle for supremacy. In the background is a mural painted on the court’s wall showing a running dribbling basket ball player who seems to be leaping over the head of one player in the foreground. A dashing athletic male specimen, all six-pack muscles, a dark tan with white trainers, socks and leaning on a bike, flirts with a young woman whose perfect body is facing away from us, allowing us a peek at her bottom and long, slender legs and rollerblades. She wears a very small pink bikini and a tiny back-pack in the west coast sunshine. There is sexuality and machismo here between the sexes where exhibitionists and extroverts display their confidence and talents, the guy’s body language showing and facial expression giving off a keen interest in this woman’s female form.

It is said that the statue's genitals were created smaller to imply that David was not allowing himself to make decisions with pleasure in mind. The statue represents the Biblical hero David, a favoured subject in the art of Florence but soon came to symbolise the defence of civil liberties in the Florentine Republic, an independent city-state threatened on all sides by more powerful rival states and by the Medici family.

  • Two old friends regularly spend afternoons sunbathing at Brixton Lido and talk of old times in the sun. The friends gather every morning in the summer at Brockwell (Brixton) Lido. This is a favourite place in the capital for varied groups of people to meet, swim or just hang out like these London taxi drivers who regularly meet for exercise sessions, accumulating sun tans during long periods in the sunshine. Brockwell Lido in Herne Hill SE24 was originally built in 1937 at a time of coastal and city pool-building but went into decline when bathers preferred to holiday in warmer Spain. Its revival happened when local entrepreneurs re-opened the business and it now enjoys a reputation for some of the best urban swims in the UK.

This bathing area is where the normally busy Serpentine Swimming Club has the use of this Royal Lake known as Lansbury's Lido. It is now normally open only in the summer, but one traditional event occurs each year on New Year's Day, when the ice is broken and brave bathers dive into the cold waters of the lake. The Serpentine will be used for the swimming leg of the triathlon at the London 2012 Olympics. The pool was formed in 1730, its name from a snakelike, curve. Queen Caroline wife of George II ordered the damming of the River Westbourne and other natural ponds in Hyde Park.

  • A young Nepali boy is straining in his last sit-ups during a recruitment test for the Gurkha Regiment, part of a tough endurance series to find physically perfect specimens for British army infantry training. He has to perform 25 straight-kneed sit-ups at a 45° slant both within 60 seconds to pass. 60,000 boys aged between 17-22 (or 25 for those educated enough to become clerks or communications specialists) report to designated recruiting stations in the hills each November, most living from altitudes ranging from 4,000-12,000 feet. After initial selection, 7,000 are accepted for further tests from which 700 are sent down here to Pokhara in the shadow of the Himalayas. Only 160 of the best boys succeed in the journey to the UK. The Gurkhas have been supplying youth for the British army since the Indian Mutiny of 1857.

In the heat of summer, when the capital's temperatures have climbed to levels when urban children just want to play in any water they can find, this feature on the upper-level of the newly-renovated Festival Hall (seen on the left) satisfies their reckless and thrilling childhood, allowing them to await ever-changing jets of water pressure that alternates between off and on. • The Mr Chelsea Body Beautiful talent competition is held on the Kings Road in London. Entrants are handsome males and girls showing their muscles and well-trimmed bodies. We see hairy chests, pectorals and biceps on-show by these young exhibitionists who parade themselves in the open-air. Slightly behind them there are also two elderly ladies looking like sisters or perhaps twins. They were once beautiful themselves and sit eagerly on a bench against a wall peering at the handsome young men, wishing they were young again. One holds a walking stick and the other grasps a bottle of wine. It is a scene of young and old, of youth and ageing beauty.

  • A few miles from the finish line, this long-distance runner has stopped in agony to lean against the walls beneath Tower Bridge during th London Marathon, England. Pushing against the solid wall and stretching his cramped leg muscles, he grimaces in pain as other runners speed past on their way completing their personal race. Pushed to his limits, this man needs to continue a few more Kilometres to claim his medal and to claim victory. But he still has to overcome the pain of an overworked body. When glycogen runs low, the body must then burn stored fat for energy, which does not burn as readily. When this happens, the runner will experience dramatic fatigue. This is called "hitting the wall".

There are many different methods in Anma, including massage, acupressure, stretching But it is important to note that there are many different versions of anma. Many massage therapists in the west have adapted this old technique to work with their more modern methods. Most common is the stretching, pulling, and pulling of affected areas. This is done to try and achieve the release of muscle tension that in return will help to encourage the proper blood flow and lymph flow.
