  • By a Neo-baroque ornamental pillar and vase, a Hungarian couple are seated on beach chairs, not at the seaside but in Budapest's famous Széchenyi thermal bath. Having bathed in thermal waters that are piped through this health resort in the middle of the capital city, the man and woman wear swimming costumes in the warm summer morning where hundreds flock to. Budapest is especially known for its spas just as Germany is. The Széchenyi Medicinal Bath (Széchenyi-gyógyfürdő) is the largest medicinal bath in Europe. Its water is supplied by two thermal springs, their temperature is 74°C/165°F and 77°C/171°F, respectively. The bath can be found in the City Park, and was built in 1913 in Neo-baroque style to the design of Győző Czigler.
