• A wheel chair bound anti-fracking activist near the entrance to Quadrillas drill site in New Preston Road , July 01 2017, Lancashire, United Kingdom. The t-shirt says: The Desolate North which is how Lord Howell described Lancashire. The blockade is a repsonse to the emmidiate drilling for shale gas, fracking, by the fracking company Quadrilla and part of an ongoing struggle where makeshift towers and makeshift camps have sprung up outside the premisses. Lancashire voted against permitting fracking but was over ruled by the conservative central Government. Fracking is a highly contested way of extracting gas, it is risky to extract and damaging to the environment and is banned in parts of Europe . Lancashire has in the past experienced earth quakes blamed on fracking.

The MXU is a Tuberculosis screening service on wheels where people can have their chest x-rayed and within minutes be either cleared of TB - or in case of any TB symptoms showing up on the X-rays, be referred to a hospital for further tests and possible treatment. The MXU is aimed at hard to reach groups like homeless people, drug or alcohol abuser and prisoners. The van is the only one in the UK and operates around London where it visits hostels, prisons and community centres where groups of hard to reach clients usually gather. On the van is a team of nurses, radiographers, social and outreach workers and expert technicians.
The MXU van is a part of the NHS department Find and Treat.

 • Elderly ladies in wheelchairs are pushed along the front by their carers at Southend-on-sea, Essex. Thier are an extraordinary number of disabled people in Southend. The town could be described as run down as while there are some signs of affluence, these are few and far between. The predominant atmosphere is quite rough feeling and quite poor. Southend is a seaside resort that is very popular with people from the East side of London due to it's close proximity, just an hour away by train along the Thames Gateway. With the decline of seaside resorts, from the 1960s much of the centre was developed for commerce and many of the original features were destroyed through redevelopment or neglect.

The competition was established between 1994 and 1995 by Jeffrey Louis-Reed and is still to this day the only Air Guitar Championships dedicated to those who love the music and those who would love to have been the musician. The competition is judged by the audience always, rather than a panel of old people that have no comprehension of the philosophy.

 • Prashanta does not go to school but supports his family by begging in the street. Here CSID Director Rabiul talks to Prashanta trying to explain to him why school is important. Disabled children can make 5-600 taka ( £5-6) / day which is more than a good rickshaw driver makes. Prashanta's brother goes to school but because Prashanta is disabled he is sent out to earn money rather than get an education. This is very common and CSID tries to convince parents of disabled children that in the long term it is better value for money if their children gets an education. Some times CSID give the families support to raise their income so that the children will stay in school.Dhaka, Bangladesh.
