  • Bosses overlook workers at the Song Zan Lin Temple near to Na Pa Hai, The temple is home to many Tibetan monks, some of which are very young, sent their by their parents whose families had grown too large. The feeling that their children would be better looked after in the confines of the Temple. These workers are hand crafting and carving complete new temple structures. Replacing the old timbers and building brand new buildings. The workers were happy although worked very hard.

  • Ornate architectural artwork on courtyard walls of Nasrid Palace. Arabesque arches and fine carvings adorn this finely-detailed Moorish architecture. This is the Patio de los Arrayanes (Court of the Myrtles), also called the Patio de la Alberca (Court of the Blessing or Court of the Pond), from the Arabic birka, "pool". There are galleries on the north and south sides; the southern gallery is 7 m (23 ft) high and supported by a marble colonnade. Underneath it, to the right, was the principal entrance, and over it are three windows with arches and miniature pillars. From this court, the walls of the Torre de Comares are seen rising over the roof to the north and reflected in the pond. The Alhambra's Moorish palaces were built for the last Muslim Emirs in Spain and its court, of the Nasrid dynasty.

Kinver Edge is a high heath and woodland escarpment just west of Kinver, and is on the border between Worcestershire and Staffordshire.

Kinver Edge is home to the last troglodyte dwellings occupied in England, with a set of complete cave-houses excavated into the local sandstone at Kinver, United Kingdom. One of the rocks, ‘Holy Austin’, was a hermitage until the Reformation. The Holy Austin rock houses were inhabited until the 1960s. They are owned by the National Trust and are open for tour. One house has been restored to a Victorian appearance, and the Martindale Caves show what life was like in the 1930s. Kinver Edge is a high heath and woodland escarpment just west of Kinver, and is on the border between Worcestershire and Staffordshire.

  • We are looking up from below at a Latin inscription describing the era of Elizabethan rule, a classic neo-Romanesque architecture of the Royal Exchange building in the City Of London, the financial district, otherwise known as the Square Mile. At the top of Doric and Ionic columns with their ornate stonework, powerfully strong lintels cross, bearing the load of fine artistry and carvings which feature the design by Sir William Tite in 1842-1844 and opened in 1844 by Queen Victoria whose name is written in Latin (Victoriae R). It’s the third building of the kind erected on the same site. The first Exchange erected in 1564-70 by sir Thomas Gresham but was destroyed in the great fire of 1666. It’s successor, by Jarman, was also burned down in 1838. The present building is grade 1 listed and cost about £150,000.

  • Intricate carvings at Preah Khan, which was built and used by Jayavarman VII. Living there while Angkor Thom was being reconstructed. Once having the role of monastery and university to many thousands, it then became an inter-denominational temple for Buddha, Shiva and Vishnu and the main deity Lokesvara (plus another 282 gods). Today it is in a state of semi-collapse, lichen and moss covered, and with the jungle trees encroaching it's walls.

  • Timbered eaves with inscriptions and carved angels in the roof of Blythburgh church, Suffolk. Over the centuries it was thought that the Parliamentarian William Dowsing shot at the angels during the English civil war, in 1644. <br />
Several of the angels are peppered with lead shot. Here is another of those Suffolk legends; that Dowsing and the churchwardens fired muskets at the angels to try and bring them down. But when the angels were restored in the 1970s, the lead shot removed was found to be 18th century; contemporary with them there is a note in the churchwardens accounts that men were paid for shooting jackdaws living inside the building, so that is probably where the shot arises from.
