Little Hall is a late 14th Century hall house on the main square, its story mirrors the history of Lavenham over the centuries. By the 1700s it was giving homes to six families and was restored in the 1920s/30s. The wool trade was already present by the 13th century, steadily expanding as demand grew. By the 1470s Suffolk produced more cloth than any other county.
