  • Inside and outside view of customers drinking and socialising at the Newman Arms pub in Fitzrovia, London, UK. Outside drinkers laugh away in the convivial atmosphere of this most traditional of small pubs. The Newman Arms is situated at No. 23 Rathbone Street and was built in 1730. This building has had many functions since that year from housing a tallow chandler, an ironmonger, a picture framers and finally became a brothel. In 1860, the tavern was established and, for the first 100 years, it only possessed a beer licence which explains perfectly the impressive reputation the Newman Arms has for great beer, still firmly intact to this day.

  • Charity shop donations strewn in the gutter outside a local thrifty shop in south London. Among autumn leaves are someone's old possessions strewn across the gutter outside the thrift shop in East Dulwich in south London. Childrens's toys and a young person's treasured items seen opposite a green bin where Shoes and Textiles can be deposited. But a common problem is that charity donors leave unwanted things outside in the street, for others to come and rifle through, leaving a mess that's difficult for volunteers to clean up.

It has been alleged this shows the government’s desperation that they have had to rapidly convene this meeting to try to cobble this together at the last minute to try to show they still have some professional support and to split the profession and marginalise those who are critical.

It has been a fashionable shopping street since the 18th century. Technically "Bond Street" does not exist: The southern section is known as Old Bond Street, and the northern section, which is rather more than half the total length, is known as New Bond Street. The rich and wealthy shop here mostly for high end fashion and jewellery.

  • A man on the street reads about a portrait by Francesco Goya, sponsored by Credit Suisse and advertised on a construction hoarding outside the National Portrait Gallery. The portrait is of Bartolomé Sureda y Miserol and is owned by the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. Standing awkwardly to echo the leaning stance of Goya's subject, the man reads the caption and other details of the artistic work, appreciating its beauty and informative descriptions. Paintings by the Spanish romantic court artist are being exhibited inside the National Gallery next door and while a large grey hoarding is in place during works in Trafalgar Square, some of Goya's work is reproduced to viewers outside.

  • The statue of Sir Joshua Reynolds outside the Royal Academy in Piccadilly where the exhibition entitled Charles 1, King and Collector is exhibited, on 6th April 2018, in London, England. This is a new cast of the original that was first exhibited outside the RA in 1904 and is an allegory of the human need for new challenges, of our instinct to always be scanning the horizon and the future. King Charles I amassed one of the most extraordinary art collections of his age, acquiring works by some of the finest artists of the past – Titian, Mantegna, Holbein, Dürer – and commissioning leading contemporary artists such as Van Dyck and Rubens. Following the his execution in 1649, the kings collection was sold off and scattered across Europe. Many works were retrieved during the Restoration, others now form the core of museums such as the Louvre and the Prado. This show reunites the greatest masterpieces of this magnificent collection for the first time. Sir Joshua Reynolds stands in the Annenberg Courtyard of Burlington House.
