Presented by over 40 drummers, the semi-improvised piece explores the concern, anxiety, and commitment of those who left home and started a journey across the sea to fight in World War One, from which many did not return. Performed on buckets and bins is is designed to evoke memories of a pleasant land left behind and outlooks of an uncertain future.

We might guess that it is the start of a new academic year and that he is about to attend a new school for which he needs to take a train on his own. Surrounded by adult commuters, some of who look on with mild amusement, also make await their train from the city out of town. Mostly, people mind their own business and what is a special day for the boy will become a much-travelled route.

This is one of the most significant Hindu temples of Lord Shiva in the world, located on the banks of the Bagmati River in the eastern part of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Arya Ghat, is the most widely used place of cremation in Nepal. Open-air cremations are held at the temple and non-hindu visitors may watch from outside. The temple is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites list

The much-criticised architecture of the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre was opened in 1965, built on the bomb damaged site of the former Elephant & Castle Estate, originally constructed in 1898. The centre was home to restaurants, clothing retailers, fast food businesses and clubs where south Londoners socialised and met lifelong partners.

  • Londoners experience the unexpected intensity of localised solar rays, reflected off the concave plate glass windows of one of the capital's newest skyscrapers known as the Walkie Talkie. The hotspot has surprised developers and passers-by below and which has already melted a parked car and left soft street fittings smouldering in Eastcheap Street, City of London, the capital's financial district. Thermometers placed in the street reached 144F (62 celcius) and city workers poured out of their offices at lunchtime to winess the strange phenomena of intense light and heat.
